As someone with a deep sensitivity to the world around me, my personal journey has been one of navigating belonging, transition as an immigrant, and finally self acceptance as someone that is at home in multiple spaces and places, and my art reflects this.
Working in encaustic is particularly appealing to me, as the medium offers a physical depth and ancient richness. I am inspired by monotype techniques for landscape, as well as working with cold wax for portraiture. I love the uncertainty in working with encaustics and feel it wonderfully reflects the complex imperfection around us.
